The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement that strongly condemned Iranian attacks on Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Qatar, according to the Kuwait News Agency. The ministry described the strikes as blatant violations of international law and the United Nations Charter. It affirmed Kuwait’s full solidarity with the sisterly states impacted by the assaults. The statement expressed support for all measures taken by those countries to safeguard their sovereignty, security and stability.

A cabinet statement released the same day through the Kuwait News Agency extended the condemnation to include an Iranian strike on Kuwait itself in addition to the other targets. The cabinet described all the actions as a flagrant violation of sovereignty and stressed the country’s inherent right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter. It emphasized that defense systems had successfully intercepted the attack on Kuwait in line with established procedures. The cabinet called on citizens and residents to rely solely on official sources for information and to avoid spreading rumors.

Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah held a phone conversation with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi, the Kuwait News Agency reported. Both officials condemned the Iranian aggression against their countries and others in the region during the call. They reaffirmed the right of affected states to take all necessary measures to protect their sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The United States, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan issued a joint statement on March 2, 2026, that deplored Iran’s missile and drone attacks across the region, according to a later Kuwait News Agency dispatch. The seven parties stressed that the strikes targeted sovereign territory, endangered civilians and damaged infrastructure. They warned that the actions represented a dangerous escalation violating the sovereignty of multiple states and threatening regional stability.

The joint statement from the seven countries vowed they would stand united in defense of their citizens, sovereignty and territory while reaffirming the right to self-defense. It commended effective air and missile defense cooperation that had prevented greater loss of life. The participants urged the international community to condemn the Iranian attacks and called on the UN Security Council to fulfill its responsibilities.

Foreign ministers from the Gulf Cooperation Council convened an extraordinary meeting to address the Iranian rocket and drone attacks on multiple member states as well as Jordan, a Kuwait News Agency report on the gathering showed. The ministers affirmed that an attack on any GCC member was an attack on all and reserved the right to respond in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter. They commended the readiness of armed forces and air defense systems in repelling the strikes while noting that GCC territories had not been used as launch pads for any operations against Iran.

The GCC foreign ministers urged a return to dialogue to resolve conflicts with Iran and called for the international community to take a firm stance against any recurrence of such attacks, according to the Kuwait News Agency summary of their final statement. The meeting underscored the integrated security of the GCC states and their commitment to regional stability through diplomatic channels.
