The Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement described Iran’s actions as repeated breaches that undermine security and stability across the region while violating the UN Charter, the OIC Charter and principles of good neighborliness. It pointed to strikes on commercial vessels that threaten freedom of navigation in addition to direct assaults on the territories of Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Jordan. The ministry rejected these sovereignty violations and ongoing threats in the strongest terms, according to the text distributed by the Saudi Press Agency.

According to the Saudi Press Agency that carried the official statement, the kingdom reaffirmed its full support for GCC countries in confronting Iranian aggression and expansionism. The document called on the international community to condemn these blatant attacks and to adopt all effective measures preventing their repetition. Jordanian authorities separately reported that three missiles originating from Iranian territory struck locations inside the kingdom early on July 12.

Al Jazeera reporting detailed how Iran claimed responsibility for the strikes on Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Oman using missiles and suicide drones amid escalating regional conflict. In Qatar, the interior ministry noted that two adults and a child sustained injuries from falling debris during defensive operations against the incoming projectiles. These developments form part of wider retaliatory actions that have drawn coordinated diplomatic responses from Arab states.

The Saudi statement aligned with an Arab League assessment that similarly condemned the Iranian strikes on Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain and Jordan in the strongest terms. It emphasized the need to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted countries. Multiple foreign ministries have echoed this position in statements issued over the past 48 hours.

CNN live updates from July 12 placed the Iranian operations in the context of ongoing exchanges following U.S. air strikes on Iranian targets in the preceding week. The Saudi ministry focused its condemnation on the specific impacts to Gulf states, Jordan and maritime security without referencing the broader conflict triggers. Affected governments continue to evaluate damage and coordinate defensive postures in response to the latest incidents.
