Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav departed from Delhi for Dubai on Sunday for a four-day stay in the United Arab Emirates, where he will hold direct talks with prominent investors, industry groups and global business executives as part of the Invest Madhya Pradesh-Dubai 2026 initiative, according to Bhaskar English. The visit from September 6 to 9 is expected to focus on attracting fresh capital, forging partnerships and positioning the state for the Global Investors Summit scheduled in 2027. Yadav will also participate in the AIM Congress 2026, during which a dedicated Madhya Pradesh Pavilion will highlight the state’s industrial capabilities, tourism potential and local products to an international audience. The chief minister’s office has framed the trip as a strategic step to build on previous outreach efforts that have steadily expanded the state’s investment pipeline.
Bhaskar English reported that upon arrival Yadav will receive a welcome from the Indian diaspora community before inaugurating a stall showcasing One District One Product items ranging from bell metal crafts and Chanderi silk to Maheshwari fabrics, batik prints, zari-zardozi work and Gwalior carpets. He is scheduled to hold meetings with India’s Ambassador to the UAE Dr. Deepak Mittal and Consul General in Dubai Dr. E. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy. Later that day the chief minister will attend a programme in honour of Arab Parliament President Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi and personally invite him to the 2027 Global Investors Summit. These initial engagements set the tone for a programme that blends cultural promotion with high-level business development.
The centrepiece of the visit involves one-to-one meetings with senior representatives from major UAE-based conglomerates including Lulu Group, DP World, Emaar Group, Sharaf Group and Choithrams, the Bhaskar English itinerary stated. On September 8 Yadav will concentrate on direct investor discussions aimed at securing commitments across sectors such as renewable energy, infrastructure, technology and food processing. The outreach at the invitation-only Tycoons programme within AIM Congress is expected to reach representatives of approximately 500 sovereign wealth funds, family offices and large corporate institutions. Such targeted interactions have become a standard feature of the state’s international investment drives.
The current trip builds directly on the outcomes of the Global Investors Summit 2025 held in Bhopal, which a Mint report said drew proposed investments totalling ₹26.61 lakh crore with the potential to create more than 17 lakh jobs. The Hindu reported that proposals in new and renewable energy alone exceeded ₹5.72 lakh crore while the industrial policy department secured commitments worth ₹8.62 lakh crore. Additional foreign direct investment pledges during that summit reached ₹31,851 crore, concentrated in districts including Bhopal, Indore and Dhar, according to a Times of India analysis. These figures illustrate the momentum the state has generated through successive investor engagement rounds.
Business Standard noted that when combined with earlier regional industry conclaves and international visits, the cumulative investment intent approached ₹31 lakh crore following the 2025 summit. Major participants included the Adani Group with pledges exceeding ₹1.10 lakh crore across pumped storage, cement and mining as well as Avaada Energy committing ₹50,000 crore to renewable projects. The 2026 Dubai visit seeks to convert similar interest into firm partnerships ahead of the next global summit while emphasising policy reforms that have simplified land allocation and offered sector-specific incentives. Officials accompanying Yadav include senior bureaucrats from the industries and public relations departments.
On the final full day of the programme Yadav will address a dedicated investment session and conduct meetings with business representatives in neighbouring Sharjah before returning to New Delhi on September 9, according to the published schedule in Bhaskar English. The chief minister is expected to underline Madhya Pradesh’s improved ease of doing business rankings and the availability of skilled manpower in emerging sectors. Such repeated international roadshows have helped the state diversify its investor base beyond traditional domestic players and establish long-term cooperation frameworks with Gulf institutions.
