Gatik said it raised $200 million in its largest funding round to date, a Series D led by the Qatar Investment Authority and Koch Disruptive Technologies with participation from Millennium Management, ARK Invest, Intact Private Capital and other investors. The company stated that the capital will support scaling driverless freight operations, fleet growth, technology development and workforce expansion as it meets demand from major retailers and consumer goods firms. According to its announcement Gatik has completed more than 85,000 fully driverless orders with over $600 million in contracted revenue and a 99 percent on-time delivery record across its routes.
The autonomous trucking firm operates fixed middle-mile routes between distribution centers and stores in Texas, Arizona, Arkansas and Ontario, Canada, serving customers that include PepsiCo in the United States and Loblaw in Canada. Gatik targets deployment of more than 100 driverless trucks by the end of 2026 as it deepens partnerships with Fortune 50 companies seeking reliable supply chain capacity. Chief Executive Officer Gautam Narang said in the announcement that the round represents validation of the company’s commercial leadership in autonomous freight.
MarketsandMarkets projects the global autonomous trucks market will grow from $50.82 billion in 2026 to $158.69 billion by 2035 at a compound annual growth rate of 13.5 percent. The Qatar Investment Authority, the Gulf state’s sovereign wealth fund established in 2005, took the lead position in the round, signaling state capital support for U.S.-based driverless technology. Abdulla Al-Kuwari, head of industrials at QIA, said, “Autonomous freight is transforming the global logistics industry, making it more efficient and reliable. QIA is committed to supporting next-generation solutions providers like Gatik that are shaping the future of freight infrastructure.”
A FreightWaves report noted that Koch Disruptive Technologies first invested in Gatik in 2021, with the latest round bringing the company’s total capital raised to approximately $500 million. Gatik has focused on Class 6 and 7 box trucks for repeatable short-haul routes that allow consistent driverless performance in live commercial networks. The announcement highlighted that the fresh funds will accelerate entry into additional markets while expanding within existing ones.
Narang added that the company has built its operations on real revenue, deep customer demand and AI-driven technology proven daily in active supply chains. The round arrives as regulatory approvals for autonomous commercial vehicles advance across North American jurisdictions where Gatik already holds permits. Company officials said the investment will also fund hiring of engineers and operational staff to sustain its current workforce of more than 350 people.
