Tsuburaya Productions announced the forthcoming release of its latest products for the Ultraman Card Game in a statement distributed via Media OutReach on July 10, 2026. The company detailed that Booster Pack 09 “Here He Comes! Our Hero!” and Starter Deck 04 “Ultraman & Ultraman Cosmos” will reach stores on October 23, bringing the first cards from the original Showa Ultraman series into the game. The timing aligns with the product’s second anniversary since its 2024 global debut, according to the announcement, and continues a series of milestone-timed expansions that began with earlier packs.

The announcement outlined two major mechanical additions that will debut with these sets. A new Color System will partition cards into five colors while retaining colorless legacy options to support varied deck construction approaches. The introduction of Boost Cards as a dedicated category is set to influence battle strategies and open additional tactical layers for competitors, the company said in the release.

Product specifications remain consistent with prior offerings in the line. Booster Pack 09 will ship in displays of 24 packs containing 12 cards each without any box topper included. Starter Deck 04 will comprise a ready-to-play 50-card deck, one pack from the new booster set and an accompanying playsheet, according to the company’s published configurations.

This launch follows the recent issuance of Booster Pack 08 “Converging Bonds” on July 10, 2026, which Tsuburaya Productions timed to Ultraman Day and the franchise’s 60th anniversary. The Ultraman Card Game first became available across multiple regions including Japan, North America and Southeast Asia in late 2024, establishing a pattern of regular content drops that tie into the broader Ultraman legacy. The current sets therefore extend an ongoing effort to blend classic characters with contemporary gameplay, the announcement indicated.

Supporting merchandise will accompany the new releases to enhance the player experience. Dedicated card sleeves featuring the Beta Capsule paired with Ultraman and Cosmo Pluck paired with Ultraman Cosmos will be offered alongside a themed playmat that includes a specific area for Boost effects. A promotional video has also been produced to highlight the sets’ features and is available for viewing on official channels, per the statement.

The expansions arrive as the trading card game sector experiences sustained expansion throughout Asia and globally. A Mordor Intelligence assessment projected the worldwide trading card game market to rise from 13.28 billion dollars in 2025 to 15.11 billion dollars in 2026 before reaching 24.36 billion dollars by 2031 at a compound annual growth rate of 10 percent. Asia-Pacific accounts for 46.56 percent of that market in 2025 and is forecast to grow at an 11 percent compound annual growth rate, driven in part by strong demand for anime-based properties such as the Ultraman franchise across Southeast Asia.
