The General Command of the Bahrain Defence Force said in a statement that Iran continues its systematic aggression through its heinous attacks targeting civilians in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The command reported that air defense systems intercepted and destroyed several Iranian aerial attacks on July 24. It added that Bahrain remains ready to protect the kingdom and safeguard its security and stability. The statement urged citizens and residents to exercise caution, avoid approaching unfamiliar or suspicious objects, and report them immediately to the relevant authorities.

According to the Bahrain Defence Force statement, the Royal Field Engineering Unit stands on full alert and stands prepared to safely handle and dispose of any such objects to ensure public safety. The military body noted that these measures follow successful defensive operations against the incoming threats. Similar calls for vigilance have accompanied previous interceptions throughout the year.

Bahraini official figures show that the kingdom has intercepted 174 missiles and 391 drones since the conflict began in February 2026 with Iranian retaliatory strikes. These attacks have targeted areas including Manama and districts hosting US naval facilities, according to reports from NBC News on earlier incidents. The Associated Press has documented how Bahrain and Kuwait activated defenses in response to ballistic missiles and drones launched toward Gulf states.

The Bahrain Defence Force statement added that the deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property constitutes a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law. It described the actions as a serious breach that endangers non-combatants and civilian infrastructure. Comparable condemnations have featured in multiple military updates released since the escalation began.

Asharq Al-Awsat reporting indicated that Bahrain’s military issued the update nearly two weeks into a renewed phase of US-Iran hostilities that have drawn in several Gulf states. Iran has claimed strikes on US-linked sites in Bahrain as part of its response to American and Israeli operations, according to statements carried by Al Jazeera. Kuwait has similarly reported intercepting hostile threats during the same period, highlighting a coordinated regional defense posture.

The statement from the General Command emphasised that forces continue to monitor and counter such aggressions as they arise. It reiterated the need for prompt public cooperation in reporting any potential debris from the interceptions. Bahrain has maintained heightened military readiness since the initial strikes in late February.
