Agility positions Tarek Sultan as the chairman behind its transformation from a Kuwait-based logistics company into a diversified global owner-operator and long-term investor. Over the past three decades, Sultan has overseen more than 40 acquisitions that helped expand the company’s international footprint. Agility now lists on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange and employs approximately 68,000 people across six continents.

The leadership profile frames Sultan as a Kuwaiti executive closely tied to international trade, supply chains, infrastructure growth and sustained investment. Agility concentrates its activities in logistics, where it manages complex movements of goods, alongside aviation services that support airport operations across multiple regions. The company also develops industrial real estate and infrastructure projects that reinforce supply chain resilience.

Industrial real estate efforts include the opening of a SAR 600 million logistics park in Jeddah in November 2025, which aids Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 program for economic diversification and growth. Agility has built its aviation services business into a major network through targeted acquisitions and mergers that increased its reach to hundreds of airports. These developments reflect the long-term owner-operator model that Sultan has advanced for the firm.

Sultan maintains seats on several international and commercial boards, the professional profile shows. His roles encompass DSV, described as the world’s largest logistics company, as well as the National Real Estate Company, Gulf Air and the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce. The positions strengthen his engagement with matters of global commerce and regional economic integration.

Agility has worked with the World Economic Forum through the Global Alliance for Trade Facilitation to streamline cross-border procedures. The company has contributed to the Logistics Emergency Team for 20 years to coordinate humanitarian aid shipments in crisis situations. Such initiatives extend the firm’s impact beyond commercial logistics into broader support for global supply chains.

Agility Global reported resilient first-quarter performance for 2026 in May. Sultan said, “Building off of last year’s momentum, Agility delivered a solid start to 2026 despite an increasingly volatile operating environment.” The chairman has continued to emphasize strategies for durable growth amid uncertainty, technological change and shifting market demands.
