Al Nassr secured the 2025-26 Saudi Pro League title on May 21, 2026, with a commanding 4-1 victory over Damac in which Cristiano Ronaldo scored twice to claim his first championship since joining the club more than three years earlier. The result enabled Al Nassr to finish two points ahead of rivals Al Hilal after both sides had gone into the final round with the destination of the trophy still to be decided, ESPN reported.

ESPN reported that Ronaldo’s two goals in the match took his league tally for the campaign to 28 while lifting his overall goal count for Al Nassr above 100 in all competitions over three seasons with the club. Sadio Mane added another goal for the hosts before the interval and new signing Joao Felix was also involved as the team celebrated at the King Saud University Stadium. Ronaldo left the pitch to a standing ovation with three minutes remaining as fans hailed the achievement that had eluded the side in previous seasons. The performance capped weeks of pressure in a title race that had remained alive until the final whistle.

The title was confirmed on the last matchday after Al Nassr had been held to a 1-1 draw by Al Hilal in the preceding round, according to match reports. Final standings published by ESPN placed Al Nassr on 86 points from 28 wins, two draws and four losses while scoring 91 goals and conceding 28. Al Hilal accumulated 84 points from 25 wins and nine draws without recording a defeat during the 34-game schedule. That narrow two-point margin underlined the competitiveness of the campaign between the two powerhouses of Saudi football.

Al Nassr collected its 11th league title with the triumph ending a seven-year wait since the club’s last success in the 2018-19 campaign, historical records from the competition confirm. The team had come close in the initial seasons after Ronaldo’s transfer from Manchester United in December 2022 but finished as runners-up on multiple occasions prior to this victory. This title delivers the first Saudi Pro League crown for the Portuguese international who had previously secured domestic honors in four European nations.

With this achievement Ronaldo has become one of the few players to win top-flight league titles in five different countries spanning Europe and Asia. He claimed the Primeira Liga with Sporting CP early in his career before triumphs in the Premier League with Manchester United, La Liga with Real Madrid and Serie A with Juventus. The 41-year-old forward continues to perform at a high level as he prepares to lead Portugal into the 2026 World Cup later this year for what would be his sixth appearance in the global tournament.

Ronaldo’s two strikes against Damac represented the 972nd and 973rd goals of his professional career, Yahoo Sports reported, leaving him 27 short of the 1,000-goal milestone. Additional figures from the league table show Al Nassr posting a goal difference of plus 63 across the season. The club had previously won the Arab Club Champions Cup in 2023 during Ronaldo’s tenure but that competition holds no official FIFA status.

The win brings to a close the 2025-26 edition of the competition which ran from August 2025 through to May 2026 according to the official schedule. Al Nassr’s total of 86 points represented the highest in the division while their defensive record of 28 goals conceded highlighted improvements from prior campaigns. Further details from the league table confirm Al Ahli finished third with 81 points as the top three sides all exceeded 80 points for the campaign.
