Albudaiwi emphasised that these treacherous attacks constitute a direct threat to the security, stability, and safety of citizens and residents on the territories of the two countries. The statement added that the attacks represent a blatant violation of the principles of international law and the United Nations Charter. It noted that the continuation of these Iranian attacks actively undermines ongoing regional and international efforts aimed at consolidating peace and security and resolving the crisis.
In the same statement, Albudaiwi underscored the GCC’s absolute support for all measures taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait to cement their security, safeguard their sovereignty, and protect their peoples and residents. The official document was published on the GCC website and distributed through news agencies including QNA. This move reflects the organisation’s standard protocol for addressing threats to member states.
Asharq Al-Awsat reported on June 11, 2026, that the GCC Secretary-General had also condemned Iranian attacks on Jordan in addition to Bahrain and Kuwait. The newspaper stated that Albudaiwi reaffirmed the GCC’s full support for all measures taken by the three countries to strengthen their security and protect their territorial integrity.
