Qatar News Agency reported that three Palestinians were killed when an Israeli drone struck a group of people in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood east of Gaza City on Saturday. A fourth Palestinian died of wounds from a strike the previous day at the Al-Shaabiya junction in the same eastern area. Medical sources provided the casualty details directly to the agency. The attacks formed part of a sequence of incidents in the coastal enclave on the day.

Separately a Palestinian sustained injuries after an Israeli drone fired on a camp for displaced people in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood east of Gaza City according to the same medical sources. The injured individual was taken to a local hospital for care following the shooting. This event occurred alongside the other strikes in the eastern districts. Gaza medical teams handled the response to the various sites.

The incidents followed a day of heightened violence on Friday that left 14 Palestinians dead across the Gaza Strip according to the QNA dispatch. Seven of those killed died in an Israeli strike that targeted a funeral in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. The agency outlined how the single-day figure included fatalities from multiple locations. Additional injuries were also logged from Friday’s events.

Qatar News Agency further indicated that the death toll from Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has now reached 73,250 with 173,751 injured. These statistics are compiled by health officials in Gaza and have been referenced across reporting on the conflict. The figures cover the full period of hostilities that began with an attack on Israel. Local authorities update the counts as new casualties are confirmed.

Multiple news outlets have documented comparable Israeli drone strikes in Gaza City neighborhoods throughout the month. According to Al Jazeera a strike on July 12 in the Sabra neighborhood killed at least four Palestinians and wounded another at a blacksmith shop. Officials at al-Shifa hospital supplied the casualty information after the victims arrived. The Israeli military confirmed conducting a strike there stating it targeted terrorist infrastructure.

Palestinian health officials have continued supplying updates on casualties from these repeated strikes to both local and international media. The ministry’s data has served as the main reference for tracking the conflict’s toll over recent years. Reuters has reported that more than 1,100 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli attacks since an October ceasefire took effect. The agency noted that most of those fatalities were civilians.
