Kuwait’s Ministry of Defence announced that Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah signed the agreement with Pakistani Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif in Islamabad on Thursday. The two officials reviewed bilateral relations and prospects for deeper military collaboration while examining regional and international developments along with shared concerns. Their talks emphasised joint efforts to advance security and stability as well as the strategic partnership that has linked the countries for decades, the ministry statement indicated.
The pact creates a framework to improve operational coordination, facilitate expertise exchanges and raise the readiness and integration levels of both armed forces, according to the ministry. It aims to serve mutual interests while contributing to wider stability across the region. The signing took place in the presence of Kuwait Army Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nassar Al-Mutairi.

The visit reflects the priority placed on bolstering defence relations amid ongoing regional considerations. Officials from both countries have consistently expressed commitment to expanding these ties through structured dialogue and practical cooperation.
