Investopia Bridge 2026 opened in Abu Dhabi under the theme Investing in a More Resilient World, drawing ministers, policymakers, investors, business executives and economists to discuss transformations in the global investment landscape. The event, which the Emirates News Agency reported took place at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi on Saadiyat Island, featured more than 30 speakers and over 800 attendees from the UAE and international markets. Discussions focused on strengthening economic adaptability, restoring investor confidence and directing capital toward sustainable growth areas as regional and global conditions continue to evolve. Organisers positioned the gathering as a strategic bridge to the next flagship Investopia edition in 2027.
UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and Minister of Investment Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi co-chaired the opening sessions, which included a government-led dialogue on growth prospects and policy frameworks. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri said Investopia has evolved into a platform that transforms dialogue into partnerships, opportunities and projects, while Investopia Bridge 2026 aims to connect capital with opportunities and markets with businesses. Attendees included Sheikh Shakhbout bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Lebanon’s Dr. Amer Bisat, Italy’s Adolfo Urso, Uzbekistan’s Laziz Kudratov, Scotland’s Richard Lochhead and the Lady Mayor of the City of London, Dame Susan Langley. The ministerial panel examined ways to accelerate reforms, deepen international cooperation and unlock long-term capital inflows.
A dedicated investor dialogue explored the changing rules of capital allocation, including the evolving mandates of sovereign wealth funds, new asset classes and shifts in cross-border flows within a fragmented global environment. According to the Emirates News Agency, participants reviewed adjustments in portfolio strategies and the rising importance of resilience as a core investment criterion. The sessions highlighted how technological disruption and geopolitical tensions are prompting reevaluations of risk and opportunity across traditional and emerging markets. These conversations built on the UAE’s experience as both a destination and source of capital, according to statements from event co-chairs.
Specialised roundtables addressed innovation in the built environment, SME growth, digital financial infrastructure, bilateral ties with Uzbekistan and the United Kingdom, family office approaches, electric mobility, the circular economy and impact investing. The Emirates News Agency reported that one session featured Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri in the Next50 roundtable, which connects UAE company founders and CEOs with government bodies and financiers to pursue expansion in new economy sectors. Additional talks covered trade cooperation between China and Arab states as well as financing solutions for cross-border SME activity. Organisers said the format aimed to convert insights into concrete collaborations.
Vital new economy sectors formed a central thread, spanning healthcare, advanced manufacturing, clean technologies, digital infrastructure, tourism, the experience economy, digital finance, venture capital and digital assets. The event incorporated the Future 100 initiative, recognising entrepreneurs and facilitating related agreements in artificial intelligence, fintech and startup financing. Several memoranda of understanding were signed during the proceedings to advance partnerships across priority industries. Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri noted the value of these agreements lies in their ability to open new markets, connect capital with opportunities and build partnerships across borders.
The UAE has recorded strong momentum in these areas, with the number of new economy companies rising 37 percent year on year to nearly 125,000 by the end of the first half of 2026, according to the Emirates News Agency. Investopia, launched in 2021 by Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, has expanded to 25 markets and targets high-growth fields such as AI, health technology, agritech, renewable energy and space. The platform operates through three pillars: dialogues, communities and a marketplace that channels capital into strategic opportunities. Officials indicated the Bridge edition reinforces this ecosystem by translating high-level discussions into actionable investment flows.
