The Emirates News Agency reported that the discussions in Singapore also included UAE Ambassador Dr. Abdulnasser Jamal Al Shaali and covered ways to expand bilateral trade investment and private sector collaboration. Officials examined opportunities to exchange expertise and convert emerging economic prospects into concrete projects that reinforce sustainable growth. The meeting forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen commercial links between the two nations.
Al Zeyoudi highlighted the strength of existing relations during the talks. “Our partnership with Singapore continues to grow on solid foundations, particularly in trade and investment,” he said according to the agency. “By strengthening ties between our business communities, empowering our private sectors and facilitating trade and investment flows, we will unlock new opportunities for companies and investors in both countries.” He added that the UAE is committed to deepening cooperation in priority sectors to build diversified and sustainable economic relations.
Bilateral non-oil trade between the UAE and Singapore reached $6.54 billion in 2025, up from $5.2 billion in 2024 for a 25.3 percent annual increase, the Emirates News Agency figures show. The UAE remains Singapore’s largest trading partner in the Middle East. UAE direct investment in Singapore totalled $5.12 billion from 2021 to 2025.
Around 230 Singaporean companies currently operate in the UAE across real estate, hospitality, tourism, energy, telecommunications, transportation and warehousing, a WAM assessment found. Al Zeyoudi held separate meetings with Singaporean investors and business leaders to explore additional partnership areas during his visit. Those sessions focused on identifying new market potential in both countries.
A report published by Economy Middle East noted that the engagement builds on agreements from the 17th Abu Dhabi-Singapore Joint Forum held in September 2026 which included a three-year investment cooperation framework and a letter of intent for an industrial corridor. The framework aims to promote knowledge exchange and joint opportunities between the respective ministries. Such steps align with the broader UAE-Singapore Comprehensive Partnership established in recent years.
Singaporean firms have expanded their footprint in the UAE while Emirati entities draw on Singapore’s strengths in logistics and technology according to data compiled by the Emirates News Agency. The sustained dialogue reflects both sides’ interest in adapting economic ties to evolving global conditions. Trade volumes have grown steadily since the partnership framework took shape.
