The GCC General Secretariat announced that the High Committee for Following Up on the Implementation of Decisions of the 19th Consultative Meeting of the GCC Supreme Council convened its regular meeting on August 23, 2026, at its headquarters in Riyadh. Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi attended the session with senior officials from the Secretariat. The gathering reviewed latest developments in the committee’s work while focusing on efforts to track progress across the six member states.
According to the GCC General Secretariat, Albudaiwi received a detailed briefing on the committee’s coordination with relevant authorities in member states to monitor implementation of the decisions and assess achievements to date. Participants examined measures that had been taken so far along with options for expediting full rollout of remaining elements. These steps aim to secure the objectives set by GCC leaders during their April 28, 2026, consultative session in Jeddah.
