Mohamed Farid Saleh held separate meetings with officials from IRH Global Trading, ePointZero and Silal during an official visit to Abu Dhabi the ministry reported. Farid outlined recent developments in the Egyptian economy together with government steps to enhance the investment climate and simplify procedures for foreign investors. The discussions also covered priority sectors where opportunities exist for Emirati capital according to the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.

The ministry’s account of the meetings noted that participants reviewed specific investment projects and opportunities available across several sectors. Officials explored mechanisms to strengthen coordination between the companies and relevant Egyptian authorities while ensuring the firms receive all necessary data to evaluate potential expansions. Farid invited the Emirati groups to conduct further studies on the Egyptian market and consider increasing their presence there.

Farid stressed the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade’s focus on maintaining close communication with investors and supplying detailed information on projects and incentives. The minister highlighted that investment promotion activities target sectors offering strong value addition along with positive economic and export impacts. Partnerships with Emirati investors form a central element of this approach the ministry stated.

Planning and Economic Development Minister Ahmed Rostom had identified industry agriculture tourism information and communications technology and energy security as the five priority areas for UAE investment cooperation during talks in Dubai a month earlier according to the ministry’s published summary. These sectors align with Egypt’s updated Vision 2030 strategy and its broader economic transformation program. The meetings with Farid build directly on that framework by engaging specific Emirati firms already active in energy trading and food security.

IRH Global Trading a subsidiary of ePointZero previously signed a three-year LNG supply agreement with the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation that begins in January 2026 the company announced in a November 2025 statement. That deal followed earlier memoranda of understanding between the parties and supports Egypt’s energy security needs. Silal Abu Dhabi’s sustainable agriculture platform is positioned to contribute in the food and agribusiness space where Egyptian authorities seek to expand capacity.

UAE entities have committed approximately 35 billion dollars to the Ras El Hekma development project alone which is expected to unlock more than 150 billion dollars in total investment according to an Anchorage Investments sector overview. Additional UAE activity includes DP World’s 1.4 billion dollar investment in Sokhna Port and logistics infrastructure within the Suez Canal Economic Zone. These established flows of capital provide context for the latest discussions between Farid and the three companies.
