Six of the ten total agreements signed involved Dubai Chambers and Chinese business groups including the chambers of commerce in Beijing Shenzhen Guangzhou and Chongqing plus two Greater Bay Area associations a Dubai Chambers announcement confirmed.

Non-oil trade between Dubai and China reached 363.5 billion dirhams in 2025 an increase of nearly 23 percent from the previous year according to figures published by Dubai Chambers. Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah president and CEO of Dubai Chambers used the event to propose an Agentic AI Corridor linking Dubai and China for joint technology investment and development. These technology priorities complement existing strengths in trade and logistics according to statements distributed at the gathering.

Saudi Arabia maintained 24693 active commercial registrations related to AI technologies at the close of the third quarter of 2026 a 31 percent rise from the year-earlier period Saudi Gazette reported citing statistics from the Ministry of Commerce. The ministry data places AI among rapidly expanding segments of the kingdom’s commercial landscape. The growth aligns with national strategies that have prioritized digital infrastructure and innovation in recent years.

Qatar Central Bank governor Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani joined People’s Bank of China governor Pan Gongsheng to sign an extension of the bilateral local currency swap agreement in Bangkok on October 14 Qatar News Agency reported. The ceremony occurred on the margins of the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. Officials from both sides have described the renewed facility as a tool to support expanded trade settlement in local currencies.

The Qatar extension and Dubai agreements reflect ongoing coordination between Gulf authorities and Chinese counterparts in finance and technology sectors Qatar News Agency and Dubai Chambers statements noted.
