Investopia Bridge 2026 wrapped up its proceedings in Abu Dhabi after drawing more than 800 officials, investors, entrepreneurs and economic experts along with over 30 speakers that included ministers, policymakers and business leaders from the UAE and abroad. The event, staged under the theme Investing in a More Resilient World, featured 10 discussion sessions and eight roundtables that examined shifts in global capital flows, new economy sectors and strategies for long-term growth. According to the Emirates News Agency, the gathering also produced several new initiatives and reports designed to highlight fresh investment opportunities and deepen economic ties with key regional and international markets.
The WAM report said the gathering witnessed the signing of seven agreements and memoranda of understanding in the presence of Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism and Investopia co-chair, and Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, the UAE Minister of Investment and Investopia co-chair. These pacts reflected diverse areas of cooperation from advanced manufacturing and sustainable energy to capital markets and support for small and medium-sized enterprises. Al Marri affirmed that the outcomes reflect the UAE’s commitment to economic openness, sustainable investment partnerships and stronger links between capital and opportunity.
According to the Emirates News Agency, one memorandum joined the UAE Ministry of Investment with Italy’s Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy to promote collaboration in industrial sectors that encompass advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, robotics, fintech, biotechnology and life sciences. The document was signed by Alsuwaidi and Adolfo Urso, Italy’s Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy. A separate pact between KEZAD Group and Scottish Enterprise will create a Scottish Energy Transition Centre in Abu Dhabi to advance cooperation on innovation and sustainable economic practices.
The WAM account listed a partnership between LuLu Money and Mastercard that will build an integrated financial ecosystem to help SMEs across the UAE expand and access specialised services. Another memorandum linked Investopia with China Securities International to bolster ties in investment and capital markets at the same time as the Chinese firm opened its first office outside China in the UAE. The Emirates News Agency added that further agreements supported entrepreneurship platforms and knowledge-sharing initiatives aligned with the event’s goals.
Organisers used the occasion to launch the HAL project developed by SC Ventures in collaboration with Mashreq Bank’s New Ventures arm and Lulu Financial Holdings to assist SMEs with tailored financial and technological tools for growth. The gathering also honoured a new cohort of entrepreneurs under the Future 100 national initiative run jointly by the Ministry of Economy and Tourism and the Office of Government Development and the Future. A dedicated report on that programme’s trends and results was released during the closing session.
Investopia announced that its flagship edition will return to Abu Dhabi in March 2027 to build on the Bridge event’s partnerships and continue facilitating dialogue among governments, investors and institutions. The platform has served as a consistent forum for converting high-level discussions into concrete investment flows and cross-border collaborations. UAE government data cited in related coverage shows steady expansion in non-oil sectors that such gatherings aim to accelerate through targeted international linkages.
