The Organization of Islamic Cooperation General Secretariat condemned Israel’s continued crimes and violations in the Occupied Palestinian Territory in a statement released Tuesday. Particular emphasis was placed on attacks targeting healthcare facilities, residential areas and shelters for displaced people in Gaza. These actions had resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens of civilians, according to the statement. The OIC described the incidents as a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

The statement further warned of escalating settlement-related crimes and organized acts of terrorism by extremist colonists in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem. These acts were said to occur under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces. The OIC General Secretariat called for decisive international action to end such violations and to hold those responsible accountable.

In addition, the statement reiterated the requirement for Israeli occupation forces to adhere to obligations under the ceasefire agreement. Implementation of the second phase of the peace plan must follow the parameters set by UN Security Council Resolution 2803, it noted. This phase encompasses several key measures aimed at stabilizing the situation on the ground.

Among the steps outlined are the reopening of all border crossings to facilitate the adequate and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid. The complete withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from the territory forms another central element. The statement also stressed the need to preserve the unity of the Palestinian Territory and to enable the Government of the State of Palestine to exercise its responsibilities across all occupied areas, including the Gaza Strip.

The OIC has maintained a consistent focus on developments in the Palestinian territories through its dedicated observatory. Its 138th report issued in June 2026 documented 1,524 crimes along with the confiscation of 641,000 square meters of land in the West Bank, according to data from the organization’s website. Such reporting provides broader context for the latest condemnation issued this week.

The statement originated from the OIC headquarters in Jeddah and was distributed through official channels including the Qatar News Agency. It reflects ongoing concerns within the 57-member organization regarding the humanitarian and political situation. Officials at the General Secretariat continue to monitor the implementation of international agreements related to the region.
