The Madhya Pradesh government said Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav opened the exhibition at Taj Dubai in Business Bay on the first day of his UAE visit. The display featured six signature items including bell metal crafts from Betul, Chanderi sarees from Ashoknagar and Maheshwari sarees from Khargone district. It also highlighted batik prints from Ujjain, zari-zardozi embroidery from Bhopal and carpets from Gwalior, presenting the state’s rich artisanal heritage to international audiences while linking traditional crafts to broader economic goals.

According to a report in the Times of India, Dr Yadav told reporters that Madhya Pradesh exported goods worth Rs 76,000 crore in the previous year. He attributed the state’s progress to transparent systems, simplified processes and good governance. The chief minister pitched opportunities in sectors ranging from food processing, renewable energy and pharmaceuticals to logistics, textiles, advanced manufacturing and urban infrastructure.

The state government noted that Dr Yadav held high-level talks with Arab Parliament President Mohammed Ahmed Al Yamahi on cooperation in trade, agriculture, tourism and education. He invited Al Yamahi and an accompanying Arab business delegation to visit Madhya Pradesh and participate in the Global Investors Summit scheduled for 2027. Al Yamahi assured his participation in the event while the chief minister extended formal invitation letters to representatives of 22 Arab countries.

A Times of India assessment found that the chief minister attended the Tycoons Dinner hosted by UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi. During the gathering he urged investors to examine manufacturing, technology and export-oriented industries within the state. The mission forms part of preparations for the Global Investors Summit 2027 and builds on investment commitments secured at previous editions of the event.

The Madhya Pradesh government stated that the delegation will participate in AIM Congress 2026 from September 7 to 9 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, an event that draws around 20,000 delegates from more than 180 countries. Dr Yadav met India’s Ambassador to the UAE Dr Deepak Mittal and Consul General Dr E Vishnu Vardhan Reddy to enlist their support in connecting with sovereign wealth funds, corporate groups and institutional investors. These discussions centred on strengthening economic ties between Madhya Pradesh and the UAE through targeted partnerships.

Indian Masterminds reported that the chief minister has previously emphasised pro-industry policies including single-window clearances, wage support of Rs 5,000 per month for each new worker and concessional electricity rates for industries. The current Dubai outreach continues that approach by combining promotion of traditional products with modern sectors such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices and cold-chain logistics. Officials accompanying Dr Yadav pointed to the state’s land bank of more than 1.25 lakh acres along with extensive road, rail and power infrastructure as key advantages for potential partners.
