The UAE Ministry of Investment on October 22, 2026 introduced the Investment Opportunities platform as a unified national gateway for international investors seeking projects across the country’s priority sectors. According to a ministry statement, the site at opportunities.invest.gov.ae consolidates a pipeline of 143 curated opportunities and allows users to filter by sector while providing details on incentives and support services. The platform also incorporates investment profiles for all seven emirates to help guide location decisions and facilitate direct engagement with ministry advisers.
A ministry assessment found that the launch builds directly on record foreign direct investment performance, with the UAE attracting $48.3 billion in inflows during 2025. United Nations Conference on Trade and Development data in its World Investment Report 2026 ranked the country ninth globally and first in the Middle East and North Africa region for that year’s inflows. The ministry noted this marked the fourth consecutive year of record figures despite a selective global investment climate.
The National Investment Strategy 2031, which the Cabinet approved in March 2025, identified six priority sectors based on their potential to drive new foreign direct investment, the ministry reported. These encompass manufacturing, financial services, transport and logistics, renewable energy and water, telecommunications and information technology, and healthcare and life sciences. Each sector on the platform initially highlights a flagship opportunity, such as components manufacturing for industry, decarbonisation projects in transport, bioprocess inputs for healthcare, switchgear production for renewables, GovTech solutions for ICT, and instant payments platforms for financial services.
Under the strategy, annual foreign direct investment inflows are targeted to rise to AED240 billion ($65 billion) by 2031 while the total stock grows from AED800 billion to AED2.2 trillion, according to the Ministry of Investment’s earlier announcements. The platform forms a core element of the InvestUAE ecosystem and includes 12 strategic programmes along with 30 supporting initiatives designed to channel capital into high-impact areas. Investors can access the full pipeline or narrow searches to specific sectors and associated incentives.
In its announcement, the ministry quoted the Minister of Investment as saying that focus remains on directing global capital toward priority sectors that enhance national capabilities, drive economic diversification and support the UAE’s long-term competitiveness. The statement added that the tool connects investors with dedicated advisers throughout the journey from exploration to implementation. This approach aligns with sustained efforts to strengthen the business environment and foster global partnerships.
Ministry of Investment figures show the UAE’s foreign direct investment inflows have grown substantially over recent years, supporting broader economic goals outlined in the 2031 framework. The 2025 performance of $48.3 billion exceeded prior annual averages and reinforced the country’s position among leading global destinations. Additional resources on the platform detail emirate-specific profiles to match investor needs with local opportunities and regulatory support.
