The UAE Ministry of Investment on October 22 unveiled an online Investment Opportunities platform that consolidates 143 curated projects spanning six priority sectors while supplying detailed profiles of investment conditions in each of the seven emirates. The ministry stated that the portal serves as a single access point for international investors, allowing them to filter listings by sector or review every opportunity and to connect directly with ministry advisers for guidance at every stage of the investment process. This structured approach aims to transform rising foreign capital inflows into tangible projects that support the country’s long-term economic priorities.
Six sectors feature prominently on the platform, according to the ministry’s announcement, encompassing manufacturing, transport and logistics, healthcare and life sciences, renewable energy, information and communications technology, and financial services. Each sector initially presents one flagship opportunity that includes production of industrial components for manufacturing, decarbonisation projects for logistics infrastructure, biological inputs for healthcare applications, low- and medium-voltage electrical equipment for renewable systems, government technology platforms for ICT, and instant payment services with added features for the financial sector. The ministry indicated that further opportunities will be incorporated as the platform develops.
Market projections integrated into the platform forecast manufacturing expanding to an estimated $537 billion by 2031, the largest of the six sectors, a ministry overview showed. Healthcare and life sciences are projected to reach $119 billion, transport and logistics $98 billion, financial services $85 billion, renewable energy $55 billion and ICT $53 billion over the same horizon. These figures, drawn from the ministry’s assessment, illustrate the scale of potential in areas the government has identified as central to diversification.
The platform launch follows the country’s record $48.3 billion in inward foreign direct investment during 2025, which represented a 6 percent increase from the previous year and marked the fourth consecutive annual high, according to ministry data. That performance built on policy reforms, expanded free zones and comprehensive economic partnership agreements that have enhanced the UAE’s appeal to global capital. The new digital gateway is intended to channel a portion of those inflows into strategic, on-the-ground initiatives rather than passive holdings.
Profiles of all emirates on the platform outline regulatory incentives, infrastructure assets and sector strengths available in each jurisdiction, the ministry reported. Investors can explore opportunities nationwide or narrow their focus to specific emirates through the interface. The ministry added that the system includes supporting documentation and real-time updates to facilitate informed decision-making.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Investment to increase transparency and reduce barriers for foreign participants, ministry statements noted. By combining project listings with advisory support, the platform seeks to accelerate project realisation across the targeted sectors. Data on the portal will be refreshed regularly to reflect evolving investment conditions throughout the country.
