Arab Finance reported citing a disclosure that Kuwait Real Estate Investment Consortium reduced its stake in Ceramica Remas to 14.96 percent from 21.04 percent through the sale of approximately 65.5 million shares. The transaction generated EGP 97.48 million on the Egyptian Exchange and was completed during the trading session on September 14 2026. The shares were sold at an average price of EGP 1.4883 each with EFG Hermes International Securities Brokerage serving as the broker.

The disclosure to the Egyptian Exchange provided no further details on the reasons for the sale by the Kuwaiti investor. Ceramica Remas also referred to as Arab Ceramic Company manufactures floor tiles wall tiles and sanitary ware products. The company maintains operations in Giza and lists its shares on the Egyptian Exchange under the ticker CERA.

Data from Simply Wall St indicated that prior to the September transaction Kuwait Real Estate Investment Consortium held 262.9 million shares in The Arab Ceramic Co corresponding to a 24.4 percent ownership position among institutional investors. The Egyptian firm’s market capitalization stood at roughly EGP 1.2 billion with private companies controlling the largest ownership bloc at 42.1 percent. General public shareholders accounted for 31.9 percent of the equity according to the same platform.

Kuwait Real Estate Investment Consortium reported a net profit of KD 1.181 million for the fiscal year ended December 31 2025 according to figures published on its corporate website. That result reflected a 17.5 percent increase from the KD 1.005 million earned in 2024 while total revenue rose to KD 2.957 million from KD 2.744 million. The Kuwaiti group listed on Boursa Kuwait focuses on real estate investment and holds a portfolio that includes both domestic properties and selected international exposures.

The share sale forms part of broader activity by Gulf investors in Egyptian equities as cross-border capital responds to industrial and construction demand. Egypt’s ceramics sector supplies both local building projects and regional export markets though specific output volumes were not detailed in the disclosure. Arab Finance noted that the transaction aligns with routine portfolio adjustments by the Kuwaiti consortium.

No immediate impact on Ceramica Remas operations was referenced in the regulatory filing. Kuwait Real Estate Investment Consortium continues to report its financial performance through Boursa Kuwait disclosures with the latest annual results showing improved profitability. The Egyptian Exchange has hosted several similar block trades in the building materials segment over recent months according to market observers.
